ClinInfoJobs is a job board for people who want to work in clinical and health informatics and did not come up through nursing or medicine. It exists because the general boards file informatics under nursing, and the informatics boards mix physician and nurse informaticist roles in with everything else, so a biology, public health, computer science, or engineering graduate spends most of an evening opening postings that were never for them. Every listing here has been read by a person and tagged for the three questions that actually decide eligibility: which degrees the posting names, whether a clinical license is required, and whether Epic certification is expected at hire or sponsored after it.
The board is run independently by someone who came into health data work through research and industry rather than a clinical license, and built it for the students and career changers trying to do the same. It is not affiliated with any employer, school, or professional society. Questions, corrections, and listings go to [email protected].
Listings come from employer career sites, professional boards (AMIA, HIMSS, AHIMA, APHL), federal and state portals, NHS Jobs and the Canadian and Australian health authorities, and the large aggregators. A sweep runs every Monday morning across payers, EHR and device vendors, health data companies, health systems, government and academic employers, nonprofits, biopharma, CROs, laboratories, and the biostatistics cores. Each candidate posting is opened and read; the degree and licensure sentences are quoted or closely paraphrased in the "why it fits" note so you can check the tag against the source. Postings that require a clinical license are not listed except for a handful kept for reference, marked in red. Postings that require a statistics or biostatistics degree, a coding credential, or that are software engineering with a healthcare customer are also left out.
Every Thursday each live listing is re-opened. Postings that have closed are marked and hidden; postings that cannot be reached two weeks running are hidden as well. Every listing stops showing thirty days after its posted date unless the employer keeps it open as a standing role, which is noted in the listing. Pay figures are the employer's posted range unless marked as an estimate, and they are shown in the posting's own currency. The footer shows the date of the last check.
Employers can submit a posting on the Post a job page. The first listing is free; Standard and Featured listings are invoiced through Stripe after the posting has been reviewed and tagged, payable by card or ACH, and go live when the invoice is paid. Nothing is charged for a posting that is not approved, and the board does not accept postings that require a clinical license, because the people reading it cannot apply to them.
The board collects an email address when you subscribe to the Monday digest and the contact details an employer enters on the Post a job form. Those are stored on Cloudflare, used only to send the digest or to review the posting, and never sold or shared with employers or anyone else. Saved jobs and the "Your background" selections live in your own browser and are not sent anywhere. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals. To unsubscribe, use clininfojobs.com/unsubscribe or the link at the bottom of any digest; the address is dropped from the list immediately. To have your address or submission deleted entirely, email [email protected] and it will be removed within a week.
